How to Use Stories

Getting Started

Stories is designed to make listening to audiobooks simple and enjoyable. To get started, you'll need to add your audiobook files to the app.

Adding Audiobooks

There are two ways to add audiobooks to Stories:

Import Folder: Tap the + button and select "Import Folder". Choose a folder containing your audiobook's audio files.
iCloud Sync: Set up an iCloud folder to automatically sync audiobooks across your devices.

Tip

Organize each audiobook in its own folder with all chapters as separate audio files. Stories will automatically detect the chapter order.

Your Library

Your audiobooks appear in the main library screen. Switch between grid and list views using the toggle in the top-left corner. To remove an audiobook, press and hold to reveal the context menu.

Playing Audiobooks

Tap any audiobook to open the player. Controls include:

Play/Pause: The large center button
Skip: Jump 10 seconds backward or forward
Progress: Drag the slider to jump to any point
Chapters: Tap to see all chapters
Speed: Adjust from 0.5x to 2x

Background Playback

Stories continues playing when you lock your phone or switch apps. Control playback from the lock screen or Control Center.
